FREE CALCULATOR
Quote driveways, siding, decks and roofs from the square footage, with setup, chemicals and a minimum job price built in.
The per-square-foot rates are placeholders, not market prices — check your local market and your own costs. Numbers are estimates for planning.
Different surfaces take different amounts of time and care: flat concrete goes quickly, while siding, wood decks and roofs are slower and need lower pressure or soft-wash chemicals. Starting from a per-square-foot rate for each surface keeps quotes consistent. Then add the costs that do not scale with size — getting the equipment to the site and set up, plus chemicals and supplies — so a small job is not quoted at a loss.
Travel and setup take the same time whether the surface is 200 or 2,000 square feet, so a minimum job price protects you on small jobs. Compare the effective price per square foot to your base rate: if the extras make small jobs far more expensive per square foot, that is normal, but if big jobs drift too low, raise your rate or add a per-hour check on top of the square-foot price.
Price jobs by target margin with overhead built in, send a client-ready quote, and track estimate-vs-actual job costing so you know which jobs really pay. Excel and Google Sheets.
Many operators price per square foot by surface type, then add setup, travel and chemicals and apply a minimum job price. The right rates depend on your costs and your local market.
Wood, siding and roofs take more time and care than flat concrete, and roofs and some siding need soft-wash chemicals and extra safety measures.
No. They are placeholders so you can see how the calculator works. Check what other local operators charge and set rates that cover your costs and your target income.
